Minister of Digital Transformation Meets UNCITRAL Secretary-General

The Minister of Digital Transformation, Innovation and Modernization of Governance, Mohamed Abdallahi Ould Louly, received on Monday in Geneva, Switzerland, the Secretary-General of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), Ms. Anna Jobin Brett, on the sidelines of the e-week of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). The discussions focused on prospects for strengthening the digital economy in Mauritania, especially supporting the efforts of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Innovation and Modernization of Administration to stimulate a strong Mauritanian digital economy that is resilient to external shocks. In this context, UNCITRAL will support Mauritania in reviewing the Mauritanian legal framework to adapt it to international standards governing the digital economy.
