Minister of Culture Leaves for Kigali

On 12 October, Mr. Mohamed Ould Soueidatt, the Minister of Culture, Youth, Sports, and Relations with Parliament, left Nouakchott for Kigali. In the Rwandan capital, the Minister will take part in the work of the YouthConnekt Africa platform, which this year will see the participation of youth missions and governments representing all African countries. YouthConnekt Africa is an initiative that aims to integrate and empower young people by reconnecting them with economic opportunities and encouraging innovation and acquisition of new technologies. Out of thirty countries, Mauritania was selected member of the central council of the initiative in Kigali based on a file prepared by the ministry in charge of youth. Its official launch took place in recent months with the support of the UNDP. The Ministry of Culture, Youth, Sports, and Relations with Parliament intends to draw inspiration from this experience to better coordinate government action aimed at empowering young people through training and employment and encouraging the spirit of innovation.
