Member of the Sovereignty Council of Sudan: “I will transmit the wise advice of the President of the Republic to the members of the Council.”

On 21 February, the member of the transitional Sovereignty Council in Sudan, General Ibrahim Jaber Ibrahim, declared, at the end of a meeting with the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, that he came to Nouakchott to brief Mauritanian brothers on what is happening in Sudan. The Sudanese envoy told the Mauritanian news agency that he conveyed to the President Republic the greetings of the Chairman and members of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and the people of the sisterly Republic of Sudan. He added: “I reviewed with His Excellency the President of the Republic the aspects of cooperation between the two countries in the political, economic, and social fields, and the means to further boost them. Gen. Ibrahim stressed that the President of the Republic welcomed the visit and called for the necessary efforts to be made to preserve Sudan during the transitional period and satisfy the aspirations of the Sudanese people. The meeting was an opportunity to follow the wise directives of His Excellency the President of the Republic that I will transmit to the brothers in the transitional Sovereignty Council”, as he put it.
