APIM Director-General Receives Libyan Ambassador

On 21 February, Ms. Aïssata Lam, the Director-General of the Agency for the Promotion of Investments in Mauritania (APIM), received the visit of HE. Mr. Moussa Abdel Nabi Trabelsi, the Libyan Ambassador to Mauritania. The Ambassador took this opportunity to express his willingness to strengthen cooperation between APIM and the Libyan Investment Authority (LIA). In this context, Mr. Trabelsi expressed his wish to benefit from APIM’s assistance to support the restructuring and revitalization of its activities and to launch the investment project of the Libyan African Investment Company (LAICO) to build a 5-star hotel in Nouakchott. Such a project was launched in 2008 but was eventually put on hold.
