President of Republic Visits Survivor of Sbeibiratt Well Collapse

On 14 February, the President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani inquired, at the military hospital of Nouakchott, about the health of the citizen Mr. Hamoud Ould Abdel Kérim, who came out alive at dawn from a well which collapsed recently in the Sbeibiratt area near the town of Chami (wilaya of Inchiri). Mr. Hamoud Ould Abdel Kerim, fully supported, underwent all the necessary medical examinations including MRI. Appearing very tired due to the period spent under the rubble, this citizen, who is still under medical supervision, did not suffer any fractures or sprains. Mr. Hamoud Ould Abdel Kerim is one of eight members of a group of gold prospectors. Four of them were found dead and the search continues to find the other three.
