President of Republic Arrives in Algiers

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, arrived in Algiers on Monday afternoon at the start of a state visit to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, at the invitation of his brother, His Excellency Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune. At Houari Boumediene International Airport, the President of the Republic was greeted by His Excellency Abdelmadjid Tebboune, President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria. The President of the Republic was also welcomed by Salah Goudjil, the President of the Council of Nation, Brahim Boughali, the President of the National People’s Assembly (APN), Aïmene Benabderrahmane, the Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, Lieutenant General Saïd Chanegriha, the Chief of Staff of the National People’s Army (ANP), Omar Belhadj, the President of the Constitutional Court, HE Mr. Weddadi Ould Sidi Haîba, the Mauritanian Ambassador to Algiers, and HE Mr. Mohamed Ben Atou, the Algerian Ambassador to Nouakchott. The two Presidents listened to the national anthems of the two countries, before reviewing army detachments that came to do them the honors, as the 21 cannon shots rang out in honor of the President of the Republic.
