Mauritanian Ambassador to Russia Presents Credentials

HE Mr. Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Dahi, most recently presented in Moscow his credentials to His Excellency Vladimir Putin in his capacity as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to the Russian Federation. During the ceremony, the Ambassador conveyed the greetings of the President of the Republic, His Excellency Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, to President Putin and reiterated the importance he gives to strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation with the Russian Federation. For his part, the Russian President instructed Mr. Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Dahi to convey his greetings to the President of the Republic. He noted the existence of opportunities for developing cooperation relations between the two countries. The Russian leader also praised the role of Mauritania in the Sahel region and the fight against terrorism.
