World Bank’s Vice-President for Western, Central Affrica Affirms Readiness to Support Mauritania’s Development Efforts

Upon meeting with the President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, World Bank’s Vice-President for Western and Central Africa, Mr. Ousmane Diagana, made in a statement to the Mauritanian News Agency, in which he thanked the President of the Republic for the receiving him and his counterparts in the G5 Sahel countries to discuss an important topic related to education in a strategic document called the White Book. He added that the G5 Sahel countries unanimously agree on the mechanisms that must be followed to meet the challenge they face in the field of education. He praised the great efforts made by His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, so that the World Bank provides support to countries in the region. He affirmed World Bank’s keenness to support Mauritanian efforts in the fields of development, health, and education.
