Youth Minister Holds Talks with Moroccan Counterpart

The Minister of Employment, Youth, and Sports, Dr. Taleb Ould Sidi Ahmed started a working visit, on Tuesday, to the brotherly Kingdom of Morocco, where he held talks with the Moroccan Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr. Othman Firdous, on the means to strengthen relations between Mauritania and Morocco, particularly in the field of sport and youth. During the talks, the two parties agreed that the Moroccan Ministry of Youth and Sports will undertake the restoration of the new Maison des Jeunes (Youth House) in Nouakchott and the construction of two water sports infrastructures, one in Nouakchott and the other in Rosso. These two infrastructures will make it possible to diversify the practice of sport in Mauritania. Technical meetings will be held between the heads of the sectors in charge of youth and sports in the two countries to exchange experiences in these fields, particularly in terms of infrastructure, maintenance of sports facilities, training of youth executives, and improvement of sports teams’ performance. It should be noted that on his arrival, the minister was welcomed by his Moroccan counterpart.
