President of Republic Meets with Representatives of Mauritanian Community in France

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, met today Saturday, at his residency in Paris, with the representatives of the Mauritanian community residing in France. At the beginning of the meeting, the President of the Republic underscored the care and attention that the public authorities attach to the citizens residing abroad. Thus, the term’’ Mauritanians Abroad’’ was added to the name of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, this is a new way to treat the expatriate communities wherever they are. He pointed out that the Mauritanian community in France is important and has played a significant role for long periods of time, which must be recognized and appreciated. The President of the Republic recommended to the members of our community in France to continue giving the best image of the Mauritanian Population and the country, stressing his constant willingness to listen to the representatives of this community and take into consideration their ideas and suggestions. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr. Ismael Ould Cheikh Ahmed, President of the Republic’s cabinet director, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Ould Mohamed Lemine, and His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Ould Bahiya, Mauritanian Ambassador to France.
