President of Republic Receives Czech Ambassador’s Credentials

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani , received On 26 July, in Nouakchott, the credentials of HE Mr. Ladislav Skrik, as an extraordinary ambassador and full authority of the Czech Republic, to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania. The President of the Republic then received the Czech diplomat in the presence of Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad. Shortly after the meeting, the Czech Ambassador said he was honored to have presented his credentials to the President of the Republic in his capacity as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Czech. He added that the meeting with the President of the Republic was an opportunity to discuss bilateral relations and the means of strengthening them in the mutual interest of the two countries, particularly in energy, fisheries, and urban planning. The Czech diplomat said that his country wishes to strengthen its relations with its African friends, particularly with Mauritania, which offers significant potential for cooperation.
