Digital Transformation Minister Leaves for Algeria

On 23 July, Mr. Cheikh El Kebir Ould Moulay Taher, the Minister of Digital Transformation, Innovation, and Administration Modernization left Nouakchott for Algeria to participate in the sixth African Telecommunication Union (ATU) Conference of Plenipotentiaries due to be held in Algiers from 25-26 July. The conference will address ways to accelerate the development of telecommunications in Africa, allowing the Africans to have access to telecommunications services, facilitate their integration into the global information society, and study the strategic plan for the upcoming period. The Minister will also participate in the work of the first session of the Liaison Committee of the Trans-Saharan Fiber Optic Cable Project, based in Algeria.
