President of Republic Describes Visit to Algeria Fruitful, Constructive

During a joint news conference with his Algerian counterpart on 28 December in Algiers, His Excellency Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, thanked his brother and friend, His Excellency Mr. Abdelmajid Tebboune, President of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria for the generous invitation to visit his second country, Algeria. Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani expressed his deep satisfaction with the warm welcome and generous hospitality he and his delegation received during their stay in Algiers. He recalled that the relations of cooperation between the two brotherly countries are anchored in history and diversified, stressing that the current action of the two countries aims at their deepening so that they live up to the aspirations of the two brotherly people. The President of the Republic pointed out that his visit to Algeria is an opportunity to enhance cooperation in vital areas, such as higher education, health, vocational training, and employment. Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazwani added that the visit also allowed the discussion of bilateral, regional, and international issues of interest to the two countries. The President of the Republic concluded: "My visit, which was fruitful and constructive, made it possible to consolidate our common determination to redouble our efforts to diversify the cooperation between the two countries in the interest of our two brotherly people, the great Arab Maghreb, and our Arab and Islamic nations in general."
