President of Republic Chairs Nouakchott Summit on Education in Sahel

The Nouakchott Summit on education in the Sahel kicked off on Sunday at the Conferences Palace in Nouakchott under the presidency of the President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, and in the presence of the President of the Republic of Niger, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Bazoum, the Prime Minister of Mali, Dr. Choguel Kokalla Maïga, representatives of Burkina Faso and Chad and the Vice-President of the World Bank for West and Central Africa. The summit, "held under the theme": The future of the Sahel is being built at school today’’, aims to mobilize financial and political support to implement the reforms and investments needed to improve the quality of education in the Sahel region, which faces many challenges preventing it from providing comprehensive and quality education to its children. The summit will provide a road map to improve investment in primary education at the Sahel level over the next ten years.
