Foreign Minister Meets With Italian Counterpart

On 8 October, Mr. Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, met, in Rome, with Mr. Luigi Di Maio, the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. During the meeting, the two parties reviewed bilateral relations and issues of common interest, especially those relating to the fight against illegal migration and security challenges in the Sahel. They affirmed their willingness to strengthen bilateral relations and intensify the exchange of visits to their respective countries.
