Working Session Between Mauritanian, Bissau-Guinean Fisheries Ministers

The Minister of Fisheries and Maritime Economy, Mr. Dy Ould Zein and his Bissau-Guinean counterpart, Mr. Mario Siano Fambe had a working session in Nouakchott on Wednesday dedicated to cooperation between the two countries in the field of fisheries. Mr. Dy Ould Zein welcomed the Bissau-Guinean delegation and expressed the availability of his department to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the field of fisheries. For his part, Mr. Mario Siano Fambe thanked his Mauritanian counterpart for the warm welcome and underlined his country's desire to benefit from the Mauritanian experience in fishing and to have a partnership with Mauritania. The two parties discussed several topics including, among others, fishing effort, quotas, oceanographic research, monitoring, and preservation of fishery resources. The two parties also formed a joint commission to continue the exchange of experiences between the two countries in the field of fisheries.
