Minister of Environment Receives Belgian Ambassador

The Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development, Ms. Mariem Bekaye, received, Tuesday in Nouakchott, HE Mr. Marc Trenteseau, Ambassador of Belgium to Mauritania. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed cooperation between the two countries in the fields of environment and sustainable development, as well as ways to develop them further. Emphasis was placed on the importance of the Nouakchott green belt carried out in the framework of cooperation with the Kingdom of Belgium. The national program of reforestation and sustainable management of forest resources, included in the priority program of His Excellency the President of the Republic (ProPEP), was also reviewed by the two parties.
