Rural Development Minister Receives International Olive Council Delegation

The Minister of Rural Development, M. Dy Ould Zein,held an audience Tuesday, 26 January in Nouakchott, with a delegation from the International Olive Council, led by its executive secretary , M. Abdelatif Ghadira. The meeting that took place in the presence of the Ministry Secretary General, Mrs Zeinabou Mint Hmednah and other officials in the department,discussed the different aspects of cooperation in the field of olive cultivation experience in Mauritania. Among other issues discussed, is the membership of Mauritania in the International Olive Council, which is based in Madrid, Spain.. The Minister welcomed the visiting delegation, exploring opportunities in olive cultivation, which might be part of the agricultural diversity policy followed by the country.
