FAO Expresses Willingness to Support Fisheries Sector New Strategy

During a meeting between the Minister of Fisheries and Maritime Economy, Mr. Aziz Ould Dahi, and the representative of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Mauritania, Mme Irina Kouplevatskaya Buttoud, FAO expressed its willingness to mobilize the necessary funds to support the new strategy of the fisheries and maritime economy sector as well as other projects. During the meeting, both parties reviewed the different aspects of cooperation between Mauritania and this UN organization and the means and ways to further strengthen them, particularly in the field of fisheries and maritime economy.
