TAAZOUR: Second Phase of Cash Transfer Kicked-Off

The general delegation for national solidarity and fight against exclusion, TAAZOUR, has started ,Monday evening 25 January, the kick-off ceremony of cash transfer .Two hundreds and ten thousends families across the country will receive an amount of 4.725.000.000 MRO thus 22.500 MRO to each one. The operation which aims at developing purchase power to most vulnerable families touched by the Covid-19 pandemic has been kicked off Toujounine district, north of Nouakchott city. In a speech on the occasion, Takavoul Program coordinator , M. Moulay El Hassen Ould Zeidane Ould Abdel Maleck,indicated that the cash transfer is a result of national solidarity and fight against exclusion plan TAAZOUR, and according to the president of the republic his excellency M. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani program and instruction. He also added that among the beneficiaries, 70000 families will receive in addition to temporary cash transfers, more permanent ones within the frame of Takavoul program. Now these numbers exceeded from 30000 in 2019 to 70000 up-to-date. In order to transfer the cash to the recipients at home, he indicated that a money transfer agreement has been reached with GAZA Telecom for this purpose to complete the process in 30 days. The kick off ceremony of the cash transfer operation took place in the presence of the delegation of national solidarity and fight against exclusion (TAAZOUR) general deputy M. Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Bouasriya, government representatives and international development partners.
