Rural Development Minister Receives US Ambassador

The soon-to-be signed agreement between the United States of America and Mauritania in the field of supporting livestock and agricultural development was at the center of Tuesday’s meeting between the Minister of Rural Development, Mr. Dy Ould Zein and the US Ambassador to Mauritania, His Excellency Mr. Michael Dodman. The meeting, amounting to 4 million dollars, falls within the framework of the activation of cooperation and American support to agricultural and breeding sectors in Mauritania. On this occasion, the Minister of Rural Development, reviewed the efforts made by Mauritania to develop the rural development sector, which plays a central role in the economic and social development of the country. On his part, the American diplomat expressed the willingness of his country to accompany Mauritania’s efforts in development ,in genera,l and rural development ,in particular. The meeting was attended by the Secretary General of the Ministry, Mme Zeinebou Mint Hmednah, de Mr. Mohamed Ould Baba, in charge of a mission at the minister’s cabinet, Abdallahi Ould Baba Zeyad and Ahmed Salem Ould El Arbi, managers of strategies, Cooperation, and development of animal sectors and pastoral systems
