Second Component of Administrative Apparatus Revitalization Launched

The Minister Secretary General of the government, Mr. Dia Mokhtar Malal, launched, Sunday morning, at the headquarters of the diplomatic academy in Nouakchott, on behalf of the Prime Minister, Mr. Mohamed Ould Bilal Messoud, the works of the second component of the revitalization of the administrative apparatus dedicated to secretaries-general of the ministerial departments. In his opening speech, the Minister Secretary General of the government said that this component is no less important than the previous one due to the pivotal role played by the secretaries-general of the ministries and because also of the fact that the secretary general is the first assistant of the minister and the direct manager of public resources. Addressing the secretaries-general, the minister said “Therefore, you are responsible for coordinating and developing administrative work in your respective departments. To improve performance and strengthen expertise, these forums have been scheduled at different levels of the administrative scale”. He added that this forum aims at detailing what has been outlined in the programs and plans through lectures made by specialists and experts, stressing that the participants’ interaction and the rich discussion would ensure reaching conclusions that help revitalize the administrative apparatus to improve its performance and keep pace with development. The Minister of Finance, Mr. Mohamed Lamine Ould Dhehbi, then commented on the daily public finance management before the participants started discussion sessions moderated by advisors to the Prime Minister and senior officials of the ministry of Finance. The discussions have focused on the role of the secretaries-general in revitalizing the administrative apparatus and improving the public finance management.
