Armies’ Chief of General Staff Ends Visit to Algeria

Major General Mohamed Bamba Meguett, Chief of the General Staff of the Armies, paid a three-day working visit to Algeria from 5 to 7 January, where he was received by Lieutenant General Said Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of the Algerian People's National Army (ANP). During the meeting, the Chief of Staff of the Algerian People's National Army affirmed that “this visit is of particular importance for the two brotherly countries and that it will undoubtedly allow them to develop their relations, particularly in light of the evolution of the security context prevailing in the region”. For his part, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armies, Major General Mohamed Bamba Meguett, indicated that “the political will of the leaders of the two brotherly countries has allowed, throughout history, to create a favorable atmosphere that contributes to strengthening the quality of their bilateral relations of good neighborliness and of common destiny emanating from historical, social and religious ties. The meeting ended with a symbolic exchange of gifts and the signing by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armies of the ANP guestbook. During the visit, Major General Mohamed Bamba Meguett visited the Automobile Manufacturing company in Tiaret, where he was received by the Deputy Commander of the 2nd Military Region. During his working visit to Algeria, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armies was accompanied by Major General Hamadi Ely Maouloud, head of the second office, Admiral of the Navy Ahmed Benaouf, head of the third office, Colonel Mohamed Lemine Hama Khattar, our country’s military attaché in Algeria, Colonel Saidou Samba Dia, head of the fourth office, Colonel Mohamed El Moustapha Yebih, advisor to the Chief of the General Staff of the Armies, Naval Captain Mohamed Mahmoud Mahfoud El Hadrami, Deputy Chief of Staff of the National Navy, as well as Colonel Ahmed Salem Hamza, from the General Staff of the Air Force, Lieutenant-Colonel Mohamed Radhi Addi from the Protocol the Chief of the General Staff of the Armies, and Naval Lieutenant, Mohamed Brahim Salem, aide-de-camp to the Chief of the General Staff of the Armies.
