President of Republic Meets with Gorgol’s Dignitaries

Nouakchott, 16 November 2020 (AMI)- His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, held a meeting, Sunday evening, in the city of Kaédi with the executives of Gorgol as a part of the program of his current visit to the region. The meeting gathered the dignitaries, public figures, the elected, women, farmers and breeders' representatives. At the start of the meeting, the President of the Republic greeted the attendees, expressing his gratitude to the inhabitants of Kaédi and through them to the inhabitants of Gorgol for the warm and generous hospitality. « Even though the visit is technical, I held this meeting to listen the preoccupations of citizens and identify their problems to find them efficient solutions» said the President. In response to the questions and the attendees' demands, the President declared that all interventions were aimed at finding solutions to the problems, general interest, and improving the citizen's conditions in the region of Gorgol. In this regard, the President praised the interventions, considering that they indicate a high- level of awareness among the speakers, which, according to him, will help the government respond and meet their demands.
