Minister of Foreign Affairs participates in the Consultative Meeting of the Arab League Council at the Ministerial Level.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, participated yesterday evening, Monday, in New York City, in the consultative meeting of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level.

During the meeting, Arab ministers discussed the coordination of Arab positions regarding the agenda of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the latest developments in the Palestinian issue, and several files of common interest.

The meeting was attended by the permanent ambassador to the United Nations, Mr. Sidi Mohamed Laghdaf; the ambassador and director of communication and media at the ministry, Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Douh; the ambassador and director of protocol, Mr. Mohamed Diop; and the senior advisor at the permanent mission to the United Nations, Mr. El Hajj Lehbib.
